If I'm honest I'll have to say when I bought my daughter a rocking horse, I did so as a part of me wanted one when I was little.
We bought 'patches' by mamas and papas, absolutely identical to this one in all except the colour of the horse, my daughter adores her.
hen we first purchased her it was to replace a plastic rocking horse my daughter was going at a breakneck rate on, and I kept picturing the thing tiping over as t was on curved rockers.
The gliders of this horse are fabulous as my daughter still does ride like the clappers, but it wont allow the horse to go too far, and will glide gently in that familiar rocking motion.
The fur used on the horses is also extremely good quality and very durable, the straps are all leather (or a very close copy as they havent worn in the 2 years e've had the horse), and the wood used on the hooves, mouth and full apparatus of the gliders is stained to a very beautiful colour, this would look stunning in your childs room.
