Asics Gel GT 2130 Running Shoe. Yet another improved version of the well established 2000 series performance running shoe. The GT-2130 has a firmer ride for the serious runner in need of some structure. Upper: Air mesh with synthetic leather and a Personal Heel Fit for added stability. Sole: I.G.S. (Impact Guidance System): Meeting the demands of all athletic activities, the I.G.S. (Impact Guidance System is a technical design philosophy that allows the foot to perform in a more natural manner. Solyte Midsole which is a proprietary cushioning material that provides an exceptionally lightweight midsole. DuoMax : A proprietary ASICS system consisting of two or more different density midsole materials, designed to help correct the degree and velocity of pronation. Visible Rearfoot and Forefoot Gel. Space Trusstic System : An advanced system that creates a pocket between the Trusstic System device and the midsole, allowing for greater midsole deformation and more efficient foot function. ASICS High Abrasion Resistance rubber is a tough compound used at the heavy contact areas of the outsole. it helps to reduce excessive wear and a Durosponge rubber forefoot. Features: Solyte 55 lasted. Removeable compression moulded EVA sockliner. Gender specific midfoot design.

Asics GT2130 - Sound Performance January 3, 2009

Like the rest of the 2000 series, the GT2130 proves to be a reliable and well-made shoe with excellent cushioning properties. Being a relatively heavy runner I always require the upmost cushioning, and that is provided by the GT2130 in abundance. Highly recommended for serious runners who run 3 to 5 times per week. Only critism is that the shoe is not particularly good for wet conditions, as the side walls are extremely porous.
