Geat sandals but sizing wrong.August 26, 2008 Mrs. T. Mercer I bought the black pair of this item and they were gorgeous the only problem was which has been experienced by other's they were too big when they arrived. I am a size 37/4 but need a 36/3 i would say. Size smaller not available so absolutely gutted. Teresa mercer

I bought the blue flowery ones and they were exactly the same pattern as what was advertised (other reviewers have complained about not getting what they ordered with other styles of Birkenstocks). I was impressed with the speed of delivery and it was free p+p as well. I wore them around the house for a couple of evenings and then decided to walk the couple of miles into town in them to go shopping. My other half advised me not to as I hadn't worn them in properly and I think he gets fed up with me moaning every time new shoes rub. Well I didn't have a problem in my new Birkies, no rubbing or chaffing and we have just come back from two weeks in Madeira and I think I've only taken them off to go to bed !!! I've walked miles in them and even stomped around on the tops of mountains in them and they are the most comfy sandals I have ever bought and I will definately be buying more - especially at the price Amazon are charging.

Great shoes, found I didn't have to break them in- just popped them on. So comfortable to wear, in fact I'm never out of them. The only downside was as I am a size 7 I ordered that size but found they were far too big so returned them for a 6 which fitted fine, so I would say maybe buy a size down from normal.
