Good headphones June 22, 2008 Ally (Shropshire, England) These are not hi-fi quality, but you wouldn't expect that from wireless headphones. I bought them for the portability that wireless allows and in this respect, they're good. They can be prone to interference, but I found that careful positioning of the transmitter reduced the problem.
Not sure if they are worth the price April 15, 2008 silkobilko 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
I picked up these after a pair of 50 Sony wireless ones were returned for repeatedly shutting down. I thought that by paying more I would get better quality. Sadly that doesn't seem to be the case. These phones are light, comfortable for up to 2-3 hours constant use, sound reproduction is pretty good and the closed cup does a good enough job at reducing environmental noise. As with all wireless headphones there is a hiss, but it seems to be a bit more noticeable with these. Once your music/tv is going the hiss is not so noticable unless there is a gap (recommend high source output and turn down the Hphones to reduce hiss). My biggest annoyance is that the input 3.5" plug is permanently attached. I dislike this as I like to remove all wires and wrap them up when putting them away and if a cable core should snap it is easily replaced. My last set had phono and 3.5" sockets (fully removable cables) which I am now missing. Having only a 3.5" prevents me from using them with certain equipment unless I buy a phono/3.5" socket adaptor. I can't comment on battery life other than the supplied AAA rechargeables are plenty for my use of 2-3 hours and no doubt would last much longer. Just dropping the phones on the cradle is sufficient to start the charge process. A few hours every few days seem to keep them topped up. For the price I would have expected less hiss and better cable/connection management. Overall I am not totaly dissapointed, but I don't think you get value for money.
Worth the money. February 13, 2008 soreleftfoot (UK) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is the second outing for me and Sennheiser radio headphones. An earlier set met their end when they met my end - I sat on them! No matter. Though they were Sennheiser too they were no match for these phones. For radio phones they have great sound, great value and the freedom to pop out for a brew-up and carry on listening - priceless.
RS 140s. Freedom and quality August 29, 2007 J. Gatens (Scotland) 31 out of 34 found this review helpful
Sennheiser have hit the mark for me with these phones. Not being a complete Audiophile. (I listen to music I like when I can. As opposed to Superb production.) I have found this set of cordless phones to be just the ticket. I am now able to listen to my favourite Psychedelic '60s sounds whenever I like, wherever within the home without disturbing the rest of the family. Phones arrived yesterday. Charged up batteries overnight.(16hrs recommended for 22hrs life?0 Couldn't wait to come home from work and try these babies out. Having already sampled my sons RS 120 open backed cordless phones before I was prepared for the experience. Have to say that Sennheiser are definetly Top off the game in headphone technology. Phones were slipped on and I was prepared to listen to whatever was within the CD player at the time. It just so happened to be "Singers Unlimited" Accapella sessions. A good test then? Resulting in excellent clarity with slight hiss only prevelent between tracks and not within quieter moments of tracks.(The source is upstairs and I am downstairs in the kitchen). There would appear to be little or no sound leakage from these phones. Wife and son had entered room and were unaware that I was playing anything at all! Found the freedom of movement quite disconcerting at first. I kept trying to compensate for a trailing cord. That of course didn't exist. I am typing this as I listen to "Real life permanent daydreams". And again no problems whatsoever. Wife and son are in bed and I am typing this and listening to my favourite type of music downstairs. It's, as good as it gets. If you want the freedom of movement and the ability to listen to what you want/when you want. Within your own home.Without disturbing others.(OOh err .. Just been to the toilet had a fag. No interuption. Still quality sound.) You surely couldn't go wrong in buying these headphones.(I wouldn't recommend locking yourself in the garden shed and indulging in some headbanging, if the source is in the backroom, upstairs, between two layers of concrete.) I would guess ? they are not for those with limitless time and are able to pick out faults in recording. but have to say, that for cordless phones. These must surely be the best? BTW. not sure if Amazon have got it right? They appear to have these phones listed twice. Go for Sennhheisser RS 140 Wireless Balanced Headphones. These are cheaper. And I believe the same as the RS 140 RFs

Just purchased these phones from you and i must sat i was totally blown away with the great sound.Let me start by saying I'm severe to moderately deaf and had all but given up listening to my large cd collection which were starting to gather dust.Id heard they work great with hearing aids what i didn't know until i discovered by accident was they really excel when used with the t switch setting on the hearing aid .Id give them a 10 if i could.
