Exceptional device. I was searching for a bluetooth wireless device. The options that I found were pretty expensive. When I looked at the specs of Logitech ClearChat PC Wireless, I was amazed at the utility of the device at a reasonable price too. I have used the device flawlessly with excellent, crystal-clear reception in all parts of the house including upstairs & out of house in the garden! Amazingly easy 'plug & play'. No software required. Very comfy earphones with adjustable headset. The controls for volume & mute on R headphone are very convenient. Very clever mute function as you can 'see' the red light at microphone tip during conversation hence allowing you to mute/unmute easily. Pretty good talk-time too; never ran out of battery during conversation. I think it's an ideal hands-free device to use with PC programs like msn messenger, yahoo, all VOIPs etc.
Dreadful sound and microphone quality August 8, 2008 Terence McArt (Cambridge, UK) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I own the logitech Premium 350 headset and bought these hoping to free myself from the wires. However the wireless product at 3 times the price sounds utterly dreadful in comparison. A simple test listening to an Mp3 from media player and you can hear breaks in transmission to the headset. Playing WoW and using the in-game voice chat the difference in headsets is palpable in the depth and richness of the sound from the USB vrs the distorted shallow sound and microphone quality from the wireless model. Am following up with Logitech to see if the huge drop in quality is the price of being wireless or if the headset I have received is faulty. Utterly Disappointed in this product atm. Update: After speaking with logitech support, it would seem this headset is not very robust in a congested wireless environment. Using the device in a less busy environment I was able to have it operate much fewer breaks in transmission. However, the audio quality issues still remains and I am going to return the product as I do not consider it fit for purpose. I heartily recommend the Logitech USB models excellent sound from both microphone and headset speakers, but the quality from the wireless model just isn't up to scratch for a headset that is around three times the price.
Best headset I've tried July 24, 2008 flow7oo (England) 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
Just received my headset (after long release date delay from Logitech ... March 2008???). I have to say these are the dog buzzocks. Only more comfortable and less hairy. But seriously, super comfortable on the ears. The controls couldn't be any easier (volume and mute mic). There wasn't even an installation disc and setup to run. Just plug usb in and go (well, charge a bit first). Sound is nice and crisp for what it is (= stereophiles buy some propa music listening headphones). Haven't had any interference yet and mic is spot on with a nice mute button . Easy. Very well designed.
