IdeaL travel companion August 10, 2008 Mr. Norman Jones (Leicestershire, UK) I needed something to take with me on my travels and have taken item all over Europe and it has worked beautifully. Have made enquiries to the manufacturere and they were very helpful indeed. Fully recommend the item; small, compact and has a great sound.
Surpassed expectations June 27, 2008 Robbie 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
After using a kitchen knife, industrial scissors, a multi-tool and a box cutter I hacked through the packaging after 10 minutes and 2 finger cuts. I was still faced with cutting open the shrink wrapped remote and the numerous individually wrapped docking adapters. This trend for environmentally irresponsible and bomb-proof packaging is beyond me. After that I was up and running in only couple of minutes - simplicity itself with only a brief scan of the simple instructions. I was amazed. Bass was excellent despite other reviews. Some claim it isn't thumping but I'm not sure what they expect - do they want it to shake the pictures off the wall or what? Volume range was great - it filled my spacious kitchen and living rooms easily. Volume control increments were small (I hate when one level is too quiet and the next level up is too loud). The remote doesn't need to be any more complicated (contrary to other reviews) - next/previous, pause/ play, on/off, fast forward/rewind - more than adequate. I'm glad this product isn't over-engineered. The AC adapter is not "REALLY" big as 2 other reviewers complained. Sure it isn't tiny nokia phone charger size but it isn't exactly heavy or huge. Mine DID come with docking adapters (other reviews say it comes with black stickers for your existing adapters). It has a good rubber grip on its base and has a quality feel and the mesh is sturdy - other speakers I've seen look like they will scratch with a feather and the mesh gets distorted with the touch of a finger. I put off buying it for a year because of some of the negative comments which is a shame because it is excellent. p.s. I see Tesco has it at 50 at the moment.
Excellent product with great sound. February 6, 2008 Drew M (N. Ireland) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been very impressed with this product as it gives crystal clear sound. Not much more I can add.
Great size, sound and looks December 29, 2007 T. Spence (UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I got this last week for Christmas, was so impressed i went out yesterday and got another for another room! - Tesco's is currently selling them for less than 50 through Tesco Direct.
Pretty Good For Something So Small December 27, 2007 Gary Baldy I was looking for something to replace the Sony microsystem and speakers I had sitting on my kitchen worktop as they took up too much room. Also, I didn't need the power of the Sony as the kitchen and dining room aren't that big. This fits the bill perfectly; hardly takes up any space and is just the right volume for the room with a bit to spare. Click the iPod into place, having selected the right seating piece, and off you go. Excellent build quality and a nice weighty piece of kit. I haven't given it 5 stars as there a couple of things I'd change:- 1) The remote control is pretty basic. It only does volume, pause/play, skip track forwards/backwards and fast forward/rewind. I'd like to be able to select albums/artists etc. with it as well. 2) Bass is pretty thin, although this is only a minor gripe as I was never expecting meaty-feel-it-in-your-chest stuff. Compared to my Creative Travelsound speakers though, which has similar small speakers, there should be room for improvement. I'd definitely recommend it though.
