Everyone loves the thrill of Home Cinema in their lounge, but no one really wants their room to end up looking like a Led Zeppelin gig. Consequently, there is a temptation for customers to buy 'lifestyle' speaker packages that promise to deliver great sound, yet be virtually invisible. These packages use different means to acheive invisibility (pseudo 2.1 surround, Micro speakers, wireless transmitters, single 'sound projector' speaker etc) but they all have one thing in common - they don't work!What's so exciting about this new Q Acoustics QAV system, is that it's a gorgeous, discrete lifestyle package that very definitely does work. In fact it sounds pretty much as good as anything at this price point, which is quite an achievement. The reason for this exceptional performance is that the QAV features a totally unique marriage of standard drivers and integrated NXT panels, giving you the best of both worlds. By putting an NXT panel on the face of a conventional driver, you get the deep bass of a standard driver, plus the wonderful 'airy' / 'spacious' sound of NXT. Add to that an amazingly attractive system for Front speaker mounting plus incredible flexibility for Rear Speaker positioning and you have the recipe for a runaway success. This system is superbly designed and brilliantly executed - it is easily the most exciting product of its type I have ever heard.
