This is a superb Home Cinema package combining Onkyos Fabulous TX-SR576 end AV receiver and the award-winning Q Acoustic 1010 5.1 (Cinema 1000) system. Onkyo TX-SR576:The 576 is really a 506 (130 watts + 3 HDMI inputs + HDMI 1.3 switching + Audyssey room calibration, etc) but with a couple of significant improvements. Firstly, the 576 will decode Dolby Digital Plus, which the 506 won't do. Secondly (and perhaps more importantly) you will be able to plug a PS3 (needs latest firmware) straight into a 576 via HDMI, using the PS3's mutichannel PCM output to give full DTS Master Audio. This makes the 576 a better choice for 'gamers', as well as tidying up on the lead count compared with the 506. Q Acoustics Q Acoustic 1010 5.1 (Cinema 1000): Q Acoustics have made some changes to their multi-award winning 1010 5.1 system. The new 'i' version has a different tweeter, plus a totally redesigned subwoofer, resulting in significant improvements to sound quality. Straight after it's launch, the new system swept the board in the 2007-2008 What Hi-Fi awards, winning 'best in class' and gaining unconditional critical acclaim. The new 'i' version is even better than its (superb) predecessor. This is particularly true in the bass department, where the new sub really shines.
