Very dissapointed with the sound quality. I used them once and then gave them away, complete waste of 53!! Next to no base and the so called surround speakers lose clarity with ease. Best avoided.

these speakers are amzaing 4 ipod and mp3 use, havn't tried on comp but when u turn up the bass on these beasties u can feel it through out the house and the room shakes, great 4 58 pounds and perfect sound quality. 1 down side is that the main bass lets out a slight hum but u get usted to it after a while. my advice= get these b4 they all go.

3 out of 5 stars good but not so good!!!!!!!!   January 23, 2007

i needed a set of 5.1 surrond speakers for my pc and to play music through a mp3 player. on the mp3 player front, these speakers are brill, the sound quality and volume output is second to none and the kit comes with a seperate mp3 player cable and 3.5 mm plug so its easy to connect and play. The pc side of things was not so good! im using a sound blaster audigy 4, 24 bit sound card so the sound quality should be pretty good but its not. ive tried every combination of settings and i cant get the sound right. its very tinny and very low volume even with the bass right up, ive changed all the equlizer setings and ive used them through the windows media player, vlc meida player and the creative media center but i cant get the sound right when playing wma / mp3 files. That said, when watching dvd movies the sound quality is ok and the remote control works very well to. overall, the trust speaker kit is ok but i think there are better quality kits on the market for the same money.......... sorry trust, drop the price and these would be good value for money, but for 60 quid you can buy better.

2 out of 5 stars Only because I couldn't connect it up!   December 27, 2006

Looked at this item because I wanted to buy an inexpensive surround sound system as a gift. I chose this one as it had a non-wired remote, looked OK and it stated that it connected to DVD players.
It does, however, also state that it connects to DVD players with an alanogue 5.1 audio output. This means, I found out upon opening, that it requires a separate phono output per speaker, i.e. 5 outputs!!
The box includes; coloured 3x 3.5mm jacks to connect it to a PC sound card, a console (gaming) connector adaptor and a 3.5mm jack to connect to an MP3 player.

Didn't get to hear it (as it was delivered without a necessary cabele (!)) so I can't comment on that...

It gets "2" stars because it does what I wanted it to, but I didn't read the small print...
