Product Description Emu Ridge Stinger Sheepskin boots hail from Australia and are made of the highest grade sheepskin and can be worn year round to keep you feet warm in winter and cool in the summer. Please note, the Emu Bronte boots have a cow suede outer which is less expensive than sheepskin.

Awful October 25, 2008 H. Spink (England) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is the worst purchase I have ever bought from Amazon, or from anywhere, I bought these boots because I read the only review that said they were good, they were cheaper than UGGs and apparently much better. They have a foam sole so you get a big overstep, they are extremely hard to walk in, they just scuff on the ground so the soles get even more worn out, and you get even more of an overstep, and they got a huge hole in them after about the fifth time of wearing them. Had I seen them before I bought them I would have never bothered. They are badly manifactured and an awful design, the have absolutely no support at the heel so they just crease up. After a few months mine are completely ruined from the tiniest bit of rain, and I couldn't even sell them at a car boot sale, I gave them to a charity shop but even they said they weren't in good enough condition to be sold in there. They are the type of boots you pay a tenner for in sho zone because you don't expect them to last long, they are no way worth 60 and I wish someone had the sense to write me a review like this before I bought them and I wouldn't have been stupid enough to waste so much money on such a crap pair of boots. If you want boots that aren't cheap and tacky like this, get some BearPaw ones form TK Maxx, I bought some for 40 they are amazing, they actually stay upright and don't flop over, this way you know they have support. They have a rubber sole like normal shoes, not a foam one like UGGs, slippers and Emus. And they never crease at the back. They are so easy to walk in, you don't have to drag your feet along, scuff your boots and make a really loud noise like you do with Emus, they are real sheepskin and much cheaper!

Order a size down! October 20, 2008 Lina-elvira Back (Aberdeen) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought these boots and they were really, really nice, until they developed a massive hole on the heel where the heel meets the sole. I had only worn them about 20 times around town. I believe this is because they might have been slightly too big - I ordered my normal size, but I should have bought the size down from that!
More sturdy than UGGs April 18, 2008 RachelA (London) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Having worn a pair of UGGs all winter, I wanted a new pair for the leftover cold weather and to get me set for next winter. These boots are perfect. They are more hard-wearing than UGGs but still as comfortable as slippers. The sole is tougher and the heel is better built. Sizing - I am a UK6 and I wear a UK5 in UGGs so I bought a 5 in these too. I'm glad I did, 6 would have been too big once they moulded to my feet. I would definitely recommend going a size smaller unless you are on the generous side of your regular size.
Emu Australia Women's Stinger Hi Boot January 31, 2008 Suz (UK) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I've had these boots since December and I'm really pleased with them! Have never had any Uggs but just observing people wearing them, I don't think they look as nice as Emus. I have black ones and have also noted the dye comes out a little on your feet if you wear them barefoot. It's not too bad though and I think its worth the lovely feel of the soft sheepskin on your toes! The question of sizing...I am a very regular size 5 and so I just ordered these in a 5, which are about right. The sheepskin has now bedded down a bit so they are slightly loose on my feet but as I have quite muscly calves and these are the high boots, I wouldn't have risked a smaller size. You can always wear chunky socks once the sheepskin beds down if they become a bit too big. I don't find it's a problem anyway. These really are great boots and although I've never tried Uggs, I can't imagine they'd be any nicer than these, particularly at twice the price! I like the fact that the high tops also fold down really easily which gives you another option looks-wise. Clearly I may have given all this a bit too much thought(!) but hopefully it will be useful for anyone thinking of buying them. I'd recommend them.
