Dr Martens Christina Purple November 2, 2008 M. Prior Just a quick note on the purple Christinas. They're a very nice shoe, but the texture of the leather can't really be appreciated in the images. They're not merely sparkly, but also have a crackled texture, like crackle glaze or the surface of an old, varnishd oil painting. For notes on sizing for people who usually wear a UK8 and on breaking them in, see my review over on the listing for the silver Christina (gorgeous shoe).
Love them, love them, love them. September 7, 2008 Alliss Halle (London) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I love these shoes so much, I ended up buying four pairs for every possible different occasion! They're well-made, will last forever, and they're about as comfortable as it's possible for shoes to be. I have severe foot problems meaning I can't wear shoes with any kind of heel, and it's exceptionally difficult to get flat - but still pretty - shoes that don't look like they've been designed for a six year old on her way to a birthday party, so these are absolutely perfect.

Pretty and Practical August 13, 2008 Mrs. J. Harris (Swansea, UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
A friend receommended the Christina by Dr Martens. I was a little worried that they would be hard to break in, but one day wearing with socks and they were as comfy as slippers. They are a nice fit, and not too low cut at the front, so they stay on the foot well. I went for the Snow leopard which is an almost suede finish, and lovely soft leather. The sole on these is typical DM so no worry of wearing them out in a hurry. I have worn them with both skirts, and trousers. They look great with both. Highly recommended. At these prices you are laughing!
