Too fast movements for Yoga beginners July 15, 2008 Li Zan (Port) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The exercises in this video are made too fast for yoga beginners. I would not recommend it for Yoga beginners. In fact, only the last part, the stretching and relaxation part, is suitable for yoga beginners. Sorry but I have seen better.
Enjoyable and effective February 7, 2008 C. Mak (UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I agree with other reviewers that it is not the simplest DVD for beginners, but it gives a great workout and the 10 minute blocks are ideal for busy people. It even allows you to mix the workout in the order you prefer. I am really enjoying this - it isn't relaxing, but it is very effective for fitness.
My favourite yoga dvd August 9, 2007 poshbecky (Faroe Islands, Europe) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
This is not traditional yoga with slow breathing, where you hold your poses for a long time. This a very fast paced athletic routine with 5 seperate 10 minute routines for your entire body. You can do each one seperately or you can put them all together for a really challenging yoga routine. The instructor is very skilled, has great form, and gives very clear instructions. But be warned this is not for beginners as the pace is very fast, and no modificationsa are shown. But if you are familiar with yoga this could be your next step. You will be not disappointed.
Nothing relaxing about this! July 3, 2007 maddyanna (uk) 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
I am new to yoga having only done classes for the past few months. I bought this DVD as I liked the idea of 10 minute workouts - and would agree that this is a benefit of the DVD as you can do as much as you like. However, I found the instruction too fast to follow safely at times, but maybe this will improve as I get to know the postures. It is not relaxing in any shape or form and I thought the music was slightly irritating.
Really good for novices/starters May 12, 2007 Tasleema Taib (UK) 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
Being someone who has never tried Yoga, I found this DVD to be of quite usefulness. The workouts do free and relax your body. The only downside is that the instructor does go through the motions quite fast and so, for first timers it might be a bit difficult to keep up with. Would recommend half an hour of this every morning.
