Great workout! November 5, 2008 Manon Meyers The "Dance if off with Vicky Binns" is actually my first Fitness DVD I ever bought and I have to admit that it was a good choice. Well, I can't compare it do other DVDs but I've already been doing some beginners gym classes comparable to this workout. And honestly, this workout is so much better. It's tough at some points but you feel great after... You just have to clench your teeth a bit. But anyway, it's getting better every time you do it again. Rachel explains the steps and movements very well and both, Rachel and Vicky, have a great presence and it's really hard not to like them. What I really liked about this workout, is that it is a bit different from some boring standard aerobic. It includes some easy street dance moves combined with high intense cardio workout... a bit of everything. If you're not so fit, Rachel also gives alternatives like just walking a bit instead of jogging. And by the way, the music is quite cool too. Just makes you wanna dance. I can only recommend this DVD to anyone who's seriously interested in getting fitter or/and losing weight. For me, it works perfectly.
Dont listen to the out of shapers rating this badly, because it works! October 11, 2008 P. Macfarlane (Scotland) I have been in the process of getting fit for a year. I understand that you have to be coordinated, and have some degree of fitness to do anything with dance or jumping about generally. I read a review that has mocked this video for being too hard..."me and my friend fell for the before and after picture on the cover"..rubbish ladies. Losing weight is not ment to be easy or a breeze, the sooner you get that the sooner the weight will come off. She does say that if it is too tough for you tone it down, you will get to the fitness level if you keep it up and don't give up then say its the routines fault. These out of shapers are just starting out I can only assume. I break out in a sweat with this..... dripping down by the end, I give it my all. I see huge diffences in my legs butt and tummy. So, I just wanted to let folks know that this does do the job...on top of that I have found it too be challenging yet fun. So this works for me! PS don't buy this fitness video if you don't want to put anything into it. Excellent job Vicky! This is a very worthwhile investment, and i use it at least 3 times a week on top of a couple runs around the block, the weight has been coming of nicely thanks!
Brilliant!!!!!! September 14, 2008 M. Davies (London, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Ok so i had always been lucky in the fitness part i had not needed to 'exercise' or watch what i eat..... until i had my 2 children!! Not being someone that likes the gym or rigid standard exercise i wasnt really keen on spending my money on a dvd that would most likely get shoved to the back of the cabinet!! However after walking past the mirror many a time and still not liking what i saw i thought enough is enough do something or stop moping!! I was drawn to this as you could see the obvious change in vickys weight and it wasnt the usual fit lean instuctor telling you it was possible when they had clearly never been overweight themselves!! And being as i like to dance i thought it'd suit me more! So i read the reviews and was impressed!! After much deliberation i decided to buy and boy am i glad i did!!!!!! I put it on as soon as it came and enjoyed it, i didnt get half way and want to give up, it didnt feel tough or like i was really working out at all!! (Despite the fact i was sweating!!) It was very enjoyable, i found that im slightly uncoordinated however!! But this didnt really matter as although i couldnt get the rountines straight away i still found myself jumping around and just adding the bits i could do which is what made it nice and meant i was still execising!!! Even if you are bigger you can just take bits you can do and sort of make you your own, eg the arm parts whilst just joggin/marching on the spot!! Even after id finished i found myself every now and again practising the bits i couldnt get and then when i next watched it found i could keep in with the routine more!! It is nicely sectioned into 3 15min parts so if you dont have time to do it all or dont feel like doing it all you can select just a section. I have already noticed a difference and im still having fun with it!!! I am glad i opted for this dvd and i am so pleased with it that i actually bothered to write this review (something i never normally do!!). I would definatly recommend this to anyone!!
But you don't tell us how often to do it though....! August 21, 2008 Ms. Sk Jones (Manchester) I've just bought Ms Binns new DVD and by all accounts it seems really good. My only concern is that nowhere on the DVD does it recommend how OFTEN to do it to get the 'same' results. I just did a bit of research and found a quote from her saying it took her '5 months to shift the weight' and that she, 'still does it 3x week'. That's not to say that she only did it three times a week in the first place....! I guess just pace yourself with what you can manage- I'm going to TRY alternate days of this DVD with Davina's... but give myself Sundays off...(Or most nights if I TRY but FAIL). Good luck girls! x
Fun to do August 13, 2008 A. Tomovska (UK) I have never been a big fan of workout DVD's but with limited time and few pounds to loose as well as getting more fit I decided to take the plunge and go for it. I got this DVD after reading few reviews and I am quite pleased with it. It's fun to do and its a great workout without being too over the top ( I got the Ultimate Cahllenge and that one is really tough). Yes it does take a bit of time to get the moves right but after you get them it's quite easy to follow the routine. Good luck.
