Amazon.co.uk Review Quietly tucked away in a car-collection garage, Brum is only conspicuous by his size. When the owner turns his back at the start of the day however, Brum blazes into action; ready to fight crime and do good deeds in the "big town". TV has tried lots of ideas with cars that think for themselves, but never managed to convey the charm that this series offers. Whether it's thwarting the escape of some naughty bank robbers, or saving a newlywed bride who inadvertently steps on a runaway skateboard, the little car with the big heart is always the perfect gentleman. Each episode sets up a crime to solve or dilemma to resolve, and by way of handy ramps and elevators, Brum is cheerily applauded and waved at by the town's residents. Every so often there's an outburst of song that will unite good guys and bad guys alike, and then there's always the sing-along at the end to look forward to. Warning to parents: expect a look of abject disappointment on the face of the tot who discovers their toy cars won't do any of the tricks on TV. --Paul Tonks

Animated chasing scenes with a few words November 15, 2002 8 out of 11 found this review helpful
After a loud "brum" the little car BRUM goes off to the big town to have a good time at the airport, in the pizzeria, at a gymnast competition and at a museum. But everywhere Brum meets robbers and thieves. No problem for Brum! At a big-lamp-eye-glance Brum can manage every situation. At the airport Brum is chasing after thieves in a plane. He stops the plane and some thieves in the style of old "Stan and Olly" get caught. After helping a lady to catch her naughty dog and after chasing sucessfully after a running hoop of nice little girl, Brum catches the King of thieves (who robbed a crown in a museum) in a rolling cage. Everybody in town is glad. All the people are dancing and singing. My five year old son Daniel is crying fascinated: "Look, the little car is dancing along, too." After having chased the robbers with success, Brum goes back to his shed. I ask my four little sons: "Well done?" ...and everybody is nodding.
