3 out of 5 stars great filmes, poor dvd's.......   September 8, 2008

great films, nice to watch as i hadn't seen them since i was a child.
however, why are they all in Mono, why is 4-5 in 4:3 and not widescreen like the rest.
IMO a poor version, get it together and release better quality ones

1 out of 5 stars oh, dear...   September 4, 2008

It almost seems a shame that the raw materials that went into producing this package were not used for something with more value to the human race...like a landmine or a oil slick. There are so few gags in the whole seven disc (that's right, seven) set that they could almost be better described as dramas rather than comedies. Except that there's precious little that's dramatic here either. Please avoid this torrid void of entertainment.

4 out of 5 stars Harmless fun, shamelessly corny, good to have   March 28, 2008

This may not be Shakespeare and there are times when it makes the Carry On films seem high brow, but for this kind of price and the amount of fun they bring, who can argue? The first four or five work the best, and it's sad to see some faces leave the cast as the films go along, but the spirit of the films never changes and as such this is worth having. Friends cringe at this in my collection but when I put one on for an evening in the background usually, they end up enjoying it and commenting that they weren't actually bad. I doubt most people have seen the later ones, but do give them a go!!!

4 out of 5 stars Classic 80's comedy at a bargain price   December 15, 2007
Paz (Sydney, Australia)
Over the years I had bought a couple of the Police Academy films on video cassette; having decided to purchase the DVD box set of all seven films I have not been disappointed. In addition to the seven easy watching and amusing movies, there is an interesting, if short, interview with a number of the main characters in the special features section of each disk (filmed in 2004). Also, the picture and sound quality for all films are good considering six of the seven were made in the 1980's.

A good addition to the collection of any 80's comedy film fan - 4 stars!

5 out of 5 stars Mahomo   October 12, 2007

Police Academy is without a doubt the best 80s movie out there. The sequels were okay (up to about 3), but this collection is well worth shelling out for "Mahomo!"
