Why do I pay my licence fee to the BBC so that they can make this utter dross and drivel?? Can someone actually tell me why this is apparently funny? What is there to get??
They try to be surreal, but it's all been done before (Vic and Bob anyone?? The Goodies, Monty Python etc etc) and far better.
Noel Fielding is just about to disappear up his own backside, yep, there he goes, I spotted his hand waving as he went. As for the other bloke, I don't even know why he's in it. Does he??!
Nope, this is about as funny as having an ingrowing toenail taken off with no anasthaetic. Mind you, watching this mind-numbingly boring tosh might just negate the need for it!!

It took me a while to realise who The Mighty Boosh were and what they did. I'd seen it in DVD stores and so on, but it wasn't until my partner introduced me to it that I discovered it for what it really was. It is certainly surreal, and it can be extremely childish. It is also colourful, eventful and not dependant on the same premise every episode (I've got nothing at all against sitcoms which set up the same general premise every episode, but the way in which material and set-ups changed every episode, particularly in Series 2, really kept the fan wanting to tune in).
I am delighted that the one star reviews are frankly belligerent, and fail to produce good reasons for their dislike of the show. I think that is further demonstrative of its' value as unique modern humour. Modern comedy is increasingly problematic. It bases itself, in the main, on bullying and abuse of demographics of whom the 'comedian(s)' have little or no direct experience (this is a particular issue in stand-up at the moment). Comedy reads too many tabloids, and it listens to too many politicians and extremists. The Mighty Boosh doesn't care who you're voting for, what or who you believe in, what size or age or colour you are.
It doesn't surprise me that some people have found it intimidating, but that is their fault, and not the fault of the Boosh (in my opinion).
My only complaint is that Series 3 didn't quite hit the same spot as the first two series for me, but that doesn't really relate to this item.

The more i watch this the less i like it , vince/fielding is a tosser and the other one is worse , naboo/fielding m. is just awful. Leave it for the 13 yr old girls and the (puke) students.

Be Honest well directed, and not bad my best bad guy was Jack Frost. Excellent set, nice monkey.
I laughed it bit it was good ps i liked the newer one but have only seen 2 episodes.
Good actors but i prefer the one with the chin fluff not the mod eek.
Nabu was spot on very funny, The zoo was convincing like buckfastleigh if the girls ran out of razor blades and could not shave for a year yep wild and hairy and sometimes quite scary.
Not bad at all.

Hypnotic and dreamy, the episodes are more like a trance than tightly-structured compositions.
Well done to the guys, they have created a new genre!
