| Customer Reviews:
Read the instructions first (if you want a laugh) June 10, 2008 Rob Sawyer (Hampshire UK) I am a terror for buying something and thinking I know better than those poor hard working technical writers who slave over PCs writing the instructions. RTFM as the phrase goes is normally sound advice...........except here. Without a shadow of a doubt the instruction booklet is the worst I have ever seen - poorly translated English (with amusing bits 'attach to front PORK')and with diagrams which are a disgrace to the word 'diagram'. I worked out how it fitted and amazingly it worked first time. One point to remember (particularly if you have read the review of a non-wireless one on here). In the great work of fiction that is the instruction booklet it says make sure the magnet and the receiver are 5mm apart. I read on one of the reviews of another Velomann product that to achieve this requires some real fiddling. This is true if you are trying to get the magnet and receiver parallel to each other in the direction of travel. However the system works (as far as I can see) as long as the magnet is parallel when it passes the receiver (to be honest it may not even need to be parallel then), so you can rotate the receiver in towards the wheel and position the magnet accordingly - well works for me anyway. Have no idea what OD1 and OD2 do, but then haven't really played with that - the speeds readout seems correct, timer and distance is okay so all in all it works okay, which considering the instructions is nothing short of a miracle!!! Happy riding!
