Good keyboard Ay May 9, 2008 Mr. P. M. Baxter It is a keyboard, nothing more, nothing less! However, what i can say is that it looks incredibly stylish with my flat screen and it is an amazing price. Hello?, no! The only problem i'm afraid is that the arrow keys are a little awkwardly positioned, but don't let this put you off from making the purchase of your life!!! BUT IT LOOKS AMAZING!!
Acceptable, especially for the price. April 29, 2008 Fingerstyle Guitarist This keyboard is very light, very good for the price. However it does fall slightly short of my expectations, as it does feel cheap. As some other reviews have mentioned it does feel flimsy. It only has standard buttons which is nice, and its certainly more rapid then my preceding keyboard. Finally I would like to mention that the postage is excessive. Mine arrived in a literally giant box that would fit literally 20 - 30 of the keyboards. However one email to Amazon and they refunded the entire lot! So if they do the same to you, complain, complain, complain!
Very Good Keyboard March 29, 2008 Mrs. Karen Lovell (Worthing, West Sussex United Kingdom) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a very nice, glossy black keyboard by Logitech. It is compact, the keys feel solid and you only have to touch them lightly to get them to type. They are low level so I suppose technically speaking you can type faster as you don't have to push the keys down as far as normal style keyboards. Some keys are in odd positions, but all the keys you need for general use are as normal. This is a smart keyboard, let down only by the fact that it doesn't have very good traction with polished or smooth surfaces, meaning Blu Tac had to be employed to keep it still, hence only 4 stars.
Logitech Ultra Flat Keyboard March 29, 2008 J. Wong (Manchester, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The problem with today's keyboard market is that the majority of the products you find out there have a billion extra buttons which do a zillion different things. This ultra flat keyboard brings style to the simple plain keyboard. It is a far cry from the standard beige keyboard we all started out with. The keys are not sticky like my last keyboard and just by changing keyboard, my typing speed increased by 7wpm. The ultra flat keys are more like what you would find in a laptop. You do not need to put much pressure into each key stroke which makes typing essays much less like a work out. The keyboard is fitted with a usb plug and ( at least in the uk) came with a usb to ps2 c onverter which is useful if you're running out of usb ports like I am. The only downfall is that to keep the keyboard width down, Logitech have move the usual insert, del, home, end, pg up and down keys all to new locations... still in the right middle but if you look in pictures you will notice they don't have their own set island. This is annoying at first but something i have got used to. If you want a simple, responsive keyboard with no fancy goodies on it,looks good on your desk and the pleasure of not having to hammer the keys down, this is the keyboard to go for. I cannot fault it in any way!
Odd key layout. Slightly flimsy March 2, 2008 Comical Engineer (UK) As a QWERTY keyboard it's fine. There are, however, a number of irritations in use. Good points: * It's light and can be carried easily in a laptop bag * It's more compact than a standard 104 key keyboard * It's very thin * Very light keystrokes * Useful additional keys for email, sound etc on the top Bad points: * It's a bit flimsy and flexes * The very light & short key strokes won't be to all tastes * The cursor keys are not easily differentiated from the normal keyboard making it easy to press the wrong one * The "delete" key is rather oddly placed as are "Pg Up" and "Pg Down" keys In practice, if it's your only keyboard, you will probably find it ok. With swapping between this board and standard layout, I found it rather irritating in use on occasion, especially when needing to use cursor keys and delete frequently.
