 Similar to the apple ipod July 19, 2008

Although the features & functions are like the apple ipod, touch pad controls with or without clicks also sensitivity touch. This CREATIVE ZEN Vision:M is much easier to use than the ipod, just drag & drop to download no need via program. The image is sharp when photo viewing & select your own wallpaper which will displayed when listening to music, watching video isn't bad either, regarding photos & videos which can be protected because Vision:M has the function to hide photos/videos (which is not on the apple ipod) to stop the others to see the contents, which is very good. As it is 30GB it's quite thick, better half the thickness it's like carrying a pack of playing cards, could be bulky if you got a tight pocket. The performance is ok it but does freezes sometimes & need to reset it, that's why i need to carry a pen with small nib or similar to cocktail stick.

The player itself is excellent - as good as the equivalent iPod if not better. But the problem is reliability. My player started having problem with it's hard drive after 6 weeks or so and they are still there now - over a year later. The customer support from Creative is appalling, by far the worst I have ever experienced. You can only contact them by email and if you have to have the player repaired you must send it to Ireland at your own expense. Mine came back "repaired" only to continue having the exact same problems a week later, and this has happened twice more since.
So in summary, buy one of these players but pray that it never breaks down!

Compared to the ipod note the following :-
The software is easier to use for downloding updating etc
Is not compatible with ipod accessories which is a huge drawback, especially for in car use. There is no alternative provided by Creative.
The specifications do not define lack of compatbility with ipod.
Would recommend not to buy any Creative player, better sticking with ipod

Like many others i agree the product is excellent. However mine just crashed and sent it back via Creative customer care department. Beware- they are very slow and there is little or any feedback from them or their website. Took nearly 4 weeks to get a replacement back- this after 5 calls to the customer support dept (in Ireland but you send the product to Poland- some lack of communication here!). In the end i accepted a black one to replace the white one i had to speed things up- it's not as good looking as only a the front is black- the rest is white.

This MP3 player is by far the best on the market. I've had this for nearly 4 months now and haven't had one single problem.
