Beautiful screen. The screen surface is slightly glossy making the image look razor sharp, and the colours vibrant. I haven't noticed any problems with glare or reflections that you sometimes get with gloss screens. Haven't noticed any dead pixels either.
Don't worry about lack of DVI. VGA gives a razor sharp picture on this screen and I doubt anyone would notice any difference between this and the much more expensive model with DVI. Auto-adjust does a good job of synchronizing the LCD panel with your VGA output.
Until I bought this I wasn't all that keen on Acer kit, but this totally changed my perception of the brand. It appears to have a longer warranty than the more expensive HP 20" monitor too. (Appears to be 2 years vs a rather stingy 1 year from HP - come on HP you can do better!!!!)
My only criticism is that it doesn't have built in speakers, but at this price you can afford to buy some decent external speakers and enjoy nice rich sound rather than put up with the usual 1w squeak boxes that tend to come fitted to screens.
Over all great value for money. Would definitely buy another.
Five stars to Amazon too for fast free delivery (super saver). Ordered on Saturday, arrived Tuesday! :o)

the difference in quality to my standard laptop screen is amzing!! I hve only had the screen a few hours and think it is well worth the money. Contrast is excellent, with bright whites. There is no goin back now.

I,m well pleased the colours are vibrant and clear, no dead pixels,plug and play, preset settings for movies, games, text, photos, user.
The build quality is second to none, and it looks fantastic even when it's turned off. Highly recommended

Thanks Amazon for very quick free delivery. This monitor is good although not perfect. Takes some fiddling with to get just right and the menu is a bit fiddly too, but if you persevere you'll get there. Screen is excellent. Love the glossy glass effect. Very bright out of the box though so needed adjustment. Sits very low on the desk (could do with adjustable height or a longer arm fitting). Build quality is OK but not amazing. eg - more Ford than Audi or BMW I would say. And that sums it up - A ford Focus of monitors. Does most things very well, looks good and good value for money but will never enter the prestige market. Don't worry about no DVI - you will never notice the difference. Anyhow, that's for the purists, who wouldn't buy this monitor anyhow. Out of Ten - 7 - Would I recommend - Yes.

Hiya first... the service from Amazon has been fantastic as always 5 stars for them too....the monitor is truly amazing...yes the instructions could be better ...but I phoned for helf from Acer... had a bit mess around with it myself and hey presto the results are fab!!!
