Palm One Hardcase - It's a hard case by Palm One. December 8, 2007 Ojos Azules (UK) If you're reading this then you probably agree that the flimsy cover your TX came with is a load of rubbish and you want something which will actually protect your PDA. This Hardcase will protect your PDA. I haven't had any problems with the locking mechanism although it was quite tricky to figure out initially but once I had the knack it was alright. There are only two slots for SD cards on the inside cover but there seems to be enough space for four. This was slightly disappointing. When the case is closed there is a bit of "play" with the PDA moving around inside so it would have been a good idea if Palm One included a small rubbery foamy thing on the inside front cover so as to prevent the PDA from moving. Nevertheless my TX has remained undamaged. The Hardcase is a simple design, it's cheap and it's a case which is hard!
Great case, terrible locking mechanism November 13, 2007 zootweller (Newcastle) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This case is exactly the same as the "Palm Hard Case For Tungsten E" model, which has had some terrible reviews, and for good reason. I loved this case when I first received it, but it lost it's appeal too quickly.. The Good: - It looks great - does a good job at protecting the Palm device (at first) - it has a central spine that locks the device into the case so it can be opened like a clam-shell without the palm dropping out, a great feature. - 2 slots for SD cards The mediocre: - the case is all encompassing, there's no way to use the device either while it is shut , or while the front of the case is flipped open as the deep concavity of the rear cover prevents using the power button, the headphone socket or the power cable. It's true that the central locking spine allows the Palm to swing outwards so allowing the access to the sockets/buttons, but this is far from ideal. The Bad: - That darned locking mechanism! It uses a tiny leaf-thin plastic tongue and groove locking method, and frankly I didn't witness mine snap as it just happened after 2 days, while it was in my bag with no assistance from myself! It is absolutely useless, and once broken, the clam-shell design will not stay closed without assistance (e.g. an elastic band). Without the pathetic locking issue I would have given this case 3 stars but this major locking issue has forced me to use the bottom grade - don't buy this!!
Palm Case January 29, 2007 Mike Daws (UK) 16 out of 18 found this review helpful
Though 9cm x 12.8cm x 2.2cm it can fit in your pocket and is quite light. It is designed for the Palm T5 and TX. I have the TX. The palm slots onto the case in the same way as the supplied case works so it is hinged so that you can get to the back of it and reduce the risk dropping it.
