Product Description Wherever your life is going, this is the perfect handheld to take along for the ride. The sleek, stylishly designed Tungsten E2 handheld from palmOne brings your entire world to life. Your calendar, contacts, documents, presentations, photos and videos look sharper and more colourful. But just as important, its new flash memory keeps all that information safe-even if you don't have time to recharge. Of course, it wouldn't be a palmOne handheld if we didn't push the boundaries of what a handheld can do. That...

Great, but.... May 4, 2008 M. Chetham (Derbyshire) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
My first (and second PDA). Very handy little gadget. When it works it works really well. Here's the but: sadly it isn't very reliable. My first packed up after a couple of months - the screen stopped working completely. Amazon changed it - no hassle. Second one worked well for 6 months, then the keyboard key stopped working (annoying but not fatal /k is the shortcut). Now the screen input is very inaccurate, freezes regularly. The screen recalibration hangs for hours - you just have to keep touching the squares. Contact palm support - it is covered as it is under 12 months since I registered it - but Palm are impossible to contact. Email - forget it! Phone - round and round in answerphone circles! Webiste - forget it! I really like my Palm, but it just doesn't work well enough for me to say 'buy one'. When I can afford to I will be looking elsewhere.

Tungsten E2 February 12, 2008 WogerWover (Gravesnd,Kent UK) 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
I bought a Palm Tunsten E2 Device in November 2007. That is something I now regret. I based my decision on using an earlier device from another manufacturer which also ran on Palm software without problem and was replaced after 5 years service. The problems seem to be with both the device and 3rd party software. When trying to contact the 3rd party software supplier my messages get bounced back saying that they do not accept mail from the address and to contact the website. I have done that, only to find I am listed as not being eligible for support. Since purchase I have had continual problems with the device locking and giving error messages. This has been common to both Word and Spreadsheets. The messages are all basically similar IE "Fatal Alert - MemoryMgr etc" The touchscreen is also imprecise and the handwriting recognition application is tempermental and almost impossible to use accurately. With the last problem I had to do a hard reset to recover and change my profile name on the device, plus unloading and re-loading the software on my PC. Not something to be undertaken lightly or frequently. These faults are random and spurious : there is no set pattern to them. The machine is not reliable and will let me down without warning. I would not reccomend the device and will purchase a PDA with an alternative system in future

Don't expect anything from Palm to last January 14, 2008 Dennis (UK) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This did exactly what I wanted from a PDA for two years. Then it developed what seems to be a common problem with the on-off button - it won't turn off.
