Fails to play disks correctly after just watching 2 movies, sound and video stutters making it unwatchable.
Sending back to amazon for refund.

Got my player today me and my girlfriend watched our first blu-ray and we were well pleased with it, goes great with my new 1080p 40inch samsung tv setup was easy looks great and a great price, and super fast delivery well happy all round.

Bought it, set it up,used it once and then it failed - refused to read any disks and HDMI output disappeared and startup sound mysteriously disappeared. Returned up the Amazon. So may not be very reliable. Though as we did watch 27 dresses which was PAP it may just have decided to give up the ghost based on our appalling choice of movie. Have got a Sony one now which appears to still work.

Just set up the samsung BD-P1500/XEU. I also purchased a 40" samsung TV. Still playing round with the sound and vision of both, as im new to the digital world. I must say though on first impresions this DVD player is quite outstanding. I had read that it will only play R2 dvds and RB BD. I thought i would try my R1 discs just to see. and guess what once i had changed the racio from 1800i to 1800p they played. So iam quite happy as i spent 3 hours trying to locate a hack yesterday. Not saying that multi region will work on all machines but certainly did on mine. (only thing im worried about now is updateing the firmware and weather it will have an effect on the playback.

brought this player to replace toshiba ep30 hdvd player.picture on blueray is excellent.sound on dts hd is enough to bend the walls.picture and sound on dvd is better than the tosh.very impressed with performance,and at 166 you really cant go wrong.it is coupled to onkyo tx-sr605 receiver bought of ebay for 229 an unbeatable combo for the price.highly recommended
