Listen up! October 11, 2008 SeanLock Right this is gonna be short and simple: The best sound quality i have ever heard through headphones The best bass resolution i have ever experienced The best for noise reduction due to the compressed nature of the headphones fit Only small problem for some may be fitting the headphones, they are designed to stop all outside noise and as such they may have to experiment with the various headphone sizes which come with the product. Also be warned the design is asymmetrical which may annoy some but is fine for me. All in all the best headphones on the market, be sure to buy from Amazon or from REPUTABLE sellers because some are not trustworthy. 10/10
These Rock! October 6, 2008 Duncan McDonald (Dundee) Just picked up a pair of these today in a sale for 20. I got them for my iPOD shuffle which I was using with the supplied Apple phones. I tried a few tests comparing them to the supplied Apple phones and also with my Sony 818 Walkman and EX phones. First up, these phones are a massive improvement on the Apples. In particular the bass response which is non-existent with the phones supplied with an iPOD. They sound equally great with my Sony Walkman. In fact I would say they are a bit better than the Sony EX phones. My point is that if you have an iPOD you will do yourself a massive favour by upgrading your supplied phones with these. They will transform the sound quality you experience. There are disadvantages: They come in packaging designed to survive a nuclear blast. You need an axe to open them. Amazon sell them in eco packaging, go for this. Be careful when removing from said packaging as they are in tight! Its easy to damage the delicate cords when you eventually decide you've had enough and rip them out! They can be a bit too bassy for some songs unless like me you like it that way. They do thunder along They are a bit fiddly to handle and insert. They need a good shove down the ear canal to work and unlike the Sony EX there is nothing to hold on to. Select the right size of bud. They do seal the ear well though. The CX300's are excellent sound quality for the money and well worth the investment. I might get another pair for the Sony. One last thing. For those of you concerned about the max volume limit on new iPODs. Get these. They make my shuffle twice as loud. I used to play it at full volume and this wasn't loud enough. It is now. They are also louder than the EX's at volume 20 on my Walkman. Hence they Rock!
asymmetrical design just plain stupid October 4, 2008 G. Crystal (Scotland) What is with the asymmetrical wiring. I really dont want to go about with spaghetti hanging out of my head. Didnt realise these headphones had this sort of design, another 20 wasted, will be using these in the house only.
Really good, comfortable, ambient noise isolation October 3, 2008 Mr. M. A. Jablonski (Cambridge,UK) Have used it couple of months so far. I am not an expert though sound seems clear and loud. I am using it on the go commuting by bike through city traffic. The plugs cancels noise well enough to let me not to miss anything from my ebooks. Highly recommended.
Useless cheap earphones September 25, 2008 Kieran Clancy (london) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have to say that I think these earphones are totally useless. Very tinny lacking any sort of bass definition. Admittedly, I am something of a purest, but I really think that the only positive thing you can say about these earphones is that they are better than the Apple Ipod ones. If you want some decent in the ear headphones, buy the Creative Zen ones. They are about a tenner more, but are a different ball park in terms of quality.
