No Complaints here. September 7, 2006 S J Buck (Kent, UK) 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
Its the first Webcam I've ever bought and I'm impressed. The software is easy to install and the webcam itself is really very simple to use. I've used it to film myself playing, to then upload to YouTube, and at the price it does a great job. Allows you to add captions and a delay start/finish facilty of up to 1 minute. So if you have to allow time to walk from the computer to the Piano (as I do) you can set it to start filming 10 second after you click on start recording. All in all an easy to use and effective webcam.
Not bad for the cash. July 22, 2006 I. Murdoch (Scotland) 12 out of 13 found this review helpful
Just bought this for my first web cam.Instalation could not be simpler, even to a novis like myself.Simple to focus but not too clear at any distance away from moniter, seems to work better with much clearer image if room is well lit.Dont think I Would take many still photos with it but for using with MSN it is ideal, for a first cam and value for money it will take some beating.
Wonderful webcam June 2, 2006 Narfymayella 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
Great webcam. Very cheap and has a very good picture. Perfect for MSN messenger and it also alllows you to fiidle around with advanced options such as hue (i like to turn myself green in particular) and contrast. also useful for anyone who wants a cheap webcam for animation (such as me!), as its small, easy to manually focus and the software included allows for very simple, fast shots to be taken one after the other. Overall i would just advise you to stop umming and ahhing and BUY IT!
Excellent Webcam November 28, 2005 rich (UK) 30 out of 31 found this review helpful
This webcam is great! There is absolutely no need to spend any more money on a webcam - the quality of image is excellent, the software is very useful and all the settings are totally customisable.A breeze to install and run on xp, and it is actually an attractive silver colour as opposed to the white one displayed... and for under £10, you can't go wrong!
works great, good value May 30, 2005 Richard Shephard (Northampton, UK) 73 out of 76 found this review helpful
A good value camera. I've used it with windows 98, 2000 and XP with no problem. The included software can record video clips, take stills, email them etc. It also has a motion detector, which starts recording when something moves in the frame. Fun but not much practical use! It works great with MSN messenger though, to talk to your friends over your new broadband connection!Picture quality is normal for a webcam. People don't seem to realise it has more to do with lighting than the camera. Don't sit with your back to a window, and try to get some light on your face if it's night-time! We've also used it with windows media encoder to stream video over the office network as a CCTV camera. The only thing that's less than perfect is the base. It sits on a rubber foot rather than having some sort of clip, so it can slide around. But a bit of blue tack will keep it still on top of your monitor.
