These cameras are used in the local junior school for IT lessons. Thus - very robust, copes with upward of 150 children using it each week during periods of the year. The children love it and find it very easy to get going and they come up with some very ambitious productionsIt lost 1 star because:
1: installing batteries is fiddly and to use re-chargeable ones you need to leave the power on ALL the time.
2: the software has odd quirks and sometimes you lose your video/picture
3: impossible to print your treasured productions (but then, who but a school would want this last feature?!)

This camera is easy to use, and robust enough to cope with being dropped in the sand pit from time to time. Although the picture quality isn't as good as a fancy digital camera it is easily good enough for home and school projects. The software is well organised and contains special effects, sound effects, stock footage and a range of editing tools. Excellent for supporting school topics and developing children's speaking and listening skills. Most importantly, it is a lot of fun.
