3 out of 5 stars DON'T its a basic webcam   June 25, 2008
Oawalker (London, UK)
The only good thing about it is the webcam works as a basic webcam.
The camera is ok when there a lot off light in the room but if it's slightly dark you can't see anything. If you're buying this for the video don't the video is very slow and the quality isn't that good.
The microphone is useless u can't hear anything. If you want to hear your voice you actually have to scream into the webcam.
I would recommend you spend a bit more money and get a better one.

5 out of 5 stars Vista Perfect   June 17, 2008
Mr. Bw Sheers
I bought this with some trepidation but my fears were unfounded it seems. It installed swiftly and works fine on my Windows Live Messenger, the built in camera works for video calls and it is inconspicuous on my pc.

Downsides are few but noteworthy. It occassionally fails to show up on my MSN but reattatching normally works. Mine occassionaly goes strange with the setting and needs to be readjusted and if you want to use if for anything other than a laptop then you will need a USB extension.

Overall this is brilliant value for money and what most Vista users will have been looking for.

5 out of 5 stars Easy Install Worked first time   May 4, 2008

For the price this is a great buy, I just inserted the cd and was up and running in 10 mins. I have had no problems in win xp and I am running the latest skype with all the latest drivers. Great Buy!!!!!

2 out of 5 stars very poor performance   April 29, 2008

It has blue screened my Vista machine whilst using skype on several occasions. never had a blue screen before. Also skype does not work with this camera on my xp machine. Creative advises to install old skype versions as the newer versions are not compatible. Ridiculous.

4 out of 5 stars Easy,Simple and works with Vista!   March 5, 2008
Kerrie Fondou (Earth)
This cam is great for Windows Vista users who are finding it difficult to buy a simple webcam,I specifically ordered this because it's easy to use and compatible with Vista.(As a bonus, its sleek black finish matched my laptop!)

Although the clip is slightly wobbly it fits well and is really nothing to complain about. The picture quality of the cam is great(not grainy!)but I've used it on Windows Live Messenger. At first its rather laggy when it connects to a conversation but gradually the picture moves smoothly instead of like a still-image at a time(I presume this is just because of my internet connection.)

Although the cam claims to have audio(so you don't need to use a mic while chatting)I have yet to find and enable this option(but I'm not too fussed,I'm sure most of you, like me,already have a mic anyway)

Setup process took longer than expected but all I had to do was sit there and click yes or next every so often and wait for it to do it's thing. It's really not that complicated :)

I'd recommend this for those of you who don't need too many fancy gadgets on your webcam and just want one with a decent picture quality for everyday use.
