just as rubbish as the black version August 24, 2008 mark (sheffield) i've already reviewed the black version of these but seemed fair to point out that if you want a superior set of headphones than these sorry excuses for headphones,i would urge you to save yourself a few quid & get the px-100's in white instead because they truly are on another level when it comes to quality of audio, far superior bass, far superior highs & warmer sounding in the mid, unless you like your music cold & bassless of course then feel free to waste your money on these horrid things!
Excellent sound. Lacking in comfort. June 2, 2008 Zip (Southampton, UK) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Excellent sound quality. However, they seemed very tight to me, which made them rather unconfortable to wear, especially for longer periods. I found it more comfortable to wear them backwards. (Not a difference that matters when listening to music, but more important if you were using them to play computer games, for example.) They have a short cable, which makes them better for listening to an mp3 player, but again less suitable as a computer accessory. I managed to break my pair by tripping over the cable while they were plugged into my desktop, and the plug sheared off. Not really a manufacturing fault, but my old headphones were able to take a lot more punishment.
reasonable value but not hifi May 3, 2008 josh 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After reading the reviews i have to admit to being a little disappointed. While the bass of these headphones is pretty good, the midrange is really harsh, and even unpleasant at high volumes. It's not hi fi exactly. I have compared these to a pair of admittedly more expensive stantons, and also my standard sony mobile phone earpiece, and both the latter are more musical. Perhaps a breaking in period is needed but can't honestly imagine them changing enough to be considered good. But otherwise they're nice to look at, convenient, and reasonable value if you pick them up cheap.
Great sound, durable, and very portable April 5, 2008 B. Lawrence (Sussex, England) I commute to college and these have saved me. Beautiful sound-quality (for the price), easy to fold and stow, and comfortable enough to wear for hours on end.
PX200s are Juicy February 1, 2008 D. Nichols (United Kingdom) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
My first impressions of the PX200 were "wow, this is tinny" and "I'm sure they're not sitting on my ears properly". This obviously was a put-off right from the start and as I have other audio devices (Some battered CX300 Whites) I went back to using them. A few days later I decided to try the PX200s out again and WOAH - they were sick. My friend puts this down to a 'break-in' period which I can definitely agree with. The mid and low range was dramatically increased and they sound as good as my other Sennys (CX300 headphones are in-ear which, in my humble opinion, is the best and ultimate form of ear audio device). As for the lack of bass that people have been complaining about, I have no idea where they are getting that from. I've been pounding my head with some Justice of late and found the bass nice and plump. And as for my concerns of the earphones not sitting properly on my head: I've found that moving them back ever so slightly makes quite a difference in the feel. Now, they feel comfy, fitted and still lightweight as ever. Brilliant headphones and the price is a bonus. I approve.
