Great sound but! July 22, 2008 Darren Knott (Co Durham, England) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased the PMX200 alongside the PMX100's and surprisingly there is a definite quality difference. The sound is clear, precise and full. They are very capable little speakers managing a wide range of frequencies. The only let down in the whole experience revolves around the closed ear units, unfortunately the covering used creates rustling noises whenever I move my head, Very distracting. This isn't something exhibited on the PMX100's with the open and cheaper padding unit. I might just remove the covering to see if this helps, drastic but as that's the only thing preventing a full house, maybe it's worth a try.
Moderate May 23, 2008 T. Sergelen (London, UK) I think they are great headphones considering it's size. The sound it produces can be quite good if you have the right settings on your device (EQ setting) Depending on what type of music you listen to as well. The Bass is quite impressive. And it is also crisp and clear at the same time. Overall I don't regret buying it, but I do know that it can hurt your ears abit after constant use (more than 45mins) Maybe it's because of my big ears but I do sometimes tend to listen up to an hour or more. And it gets abit uncomfortable. I gave it a 3 star because this is my second time buying it. The first one didn't last for more than 4 months. The wiring are not the best. They are quite small and flimsy. I just hope that particular one had a problem. Otherwise I would recommend it to a moderate user who likes style and a compact which packs quite a punch..
If you don't like bass then you're set to go April 27, 2008 Mr. Dunningham (wales) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
wow....where on earth is the bass? how some of these reviews can say the bass is good is absolutely beyond me. I bought them because the reviews were mainly positive and i thought the few bad ones were full on audiophiles being a bit fussy. how wrong i was. Now im no audiophile, but believe me when i say these things are a total joke when it comes to bass. I listen to a range of music by the way and do not limit myself to stuff which is bass intensive. But when comparing these to my PMX40's (which i dont like as they destroy your ears) with a range of different songs you can clearly tell the ridiculous difference. If you don't listen to songs that require bass then they could well be a good bet. no idea regarding comfort as they taken off in disgust very quickly and shipped off to ebay. Overall i have to recommend you look for a different pair. The PortaPros, after some research, look to be a much better choice. they dont look as good but the bass quality on these are such a joke...
Great sound, minimal noise leak, bit flimsy though March 6, 2008 D. Williams (London, UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
They sound great and are a comfortable fit after an hour and more of use so for me they are about perfect (and I am a fairly average 16.5 collar). Better bass and far less noise leak than Sonys - if you liked their folding neckband model with chunkier bass than the standard ones then you will love these Senns as they have even more low end. Only downside is they don't fold and are markedly less robust - they have delicate little wires sticking out just asking for trouble so will have to take care of 'em - no chucking them in the gym bag!
Don't expect them to last... March 5, 2008 Mr. M. J. Evans (London, innit!) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Hmmm, I've had a quite a few pairs of Sennheiser now and I guess I was suffering from brand loyalty or something, as they just never last me more than 6 months... Now I am one to take care of my stuff, so I put it down to dodgy design (look at that vunerable wiring!) and poor build. So even if you are incredibly delicate with the things, they'll suddenly just stop working in one ear (typical issue). Though they do sound good... hence an extra star.
