Good Earphones August 25, 2008 N. Richards (Birmingham, West Midlands United Kingdom) I bought these from Amazon as my other Sony earphones suddenly packed up, I read the reviews and I am pleased with them. The sound quality through my creative Zen is good, the bass response could be slightly better but then you can't push these ones too far into your ear which I did with the previous set and probably caused them to fail. The top end is clear and they seem to cancel pretty much any external noise when in use. They seem to fit quite well and will have to shorten the 1.2m cord to use with the Zen remote, but I can use the plastic widget that came with my previous sony's. It commes with a nice little case and a plastice device to wrap them around when not in use. Overall I would recommend these even against the ones that cost twice as much
Great sound, for everyone else to hear? August 14, 2008 Mr. R. Meade (UK) Bought these today and I'm very impressed with the sound, unfortunately so is everyone else in the room. The outer-ear speakers act like a loudspeaker for everyone else to hear so if you plan to listen to you music any more than half volume expect people to ask you to turn it down.
Very Impressive July 13, 2008 Mr. T. L. Chan 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought these from a sony shop a few months ago at a very good price. At first I thought hmm... ok not a bad pair of earphones but nothing outstanding but over time I've really come to appreciate the quality of the sound. Give it some playing time (maybe 30-40 hours) and you'll slowly notice an increase in midrange tone and improved balance.
The Best In-Ear Earphones Yet! March 20, 2008 Angelito Guillermo (London, England) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
a year ago i bought the Sony Walkman Video NWA-806 and it went with the MDR-EX082 earphones with it. i consider myself a Sony-type of person as the sound of it's Walkmans (paired with Sony buds) are excellent and nothing compares. fast forward to 2008 i sold my Walkman and bought the bril Samsung P2 MP3 player. didn't liked the earpphones that went with it so i bought a new pair of AKG 324P in-ear buds. the mid & long range bass especially in loud volumes regardless of EQ settings become distorted and not "solid" enough for me as i also consider myslef a bass-ey type of person. treble was fair. i bought this buds mainly because of the (surprise...surpise) reviews here and it apparently belongs to the "noise-cancelling earphones " category. opened it and tried it once it arrived thru the post and i was amazed and very impressed. very solid and clear bass and treble. cancels outside noise when your commuting to & from work (or everywhere). audio output is near 99% compared to the Walkman's and the sound holds to it's own even on full volume. believe me the P2 is my 5th mp3 player in 5 years (!)and the EX85 is my well...5th as well and i know what good sounds sounds like. forget the others like AKG's, Sennheisers, etc. this buds does the job for you. Go Go Get It!!! you won't be disppointed.
Not as good as the reviews suggest! March 8, 2008 Docbiker (London) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought these recently, mainly due to the good reviews on here and on other sites. I have to say, that I know earphones are a matter of personal taste, but these, to my ear, don't have the depth or warmth of other earphones I have tried. I've had the fortune of trying offerings from Etymotic and Shure, and funnily enough, I still think that the Creative EP-630's and Sennheiser CX300's (essentially the same earphones) are far better, especially if you like decent bass reproduction. All of these earphones rely upon a decent seal being made between your ear and the silicon bud, but the Creative's/Sennheiser's just feel the most comfortable, seal the best and give a warmth that every other type of earphone I've tried have yet to better.
