 Good 'phones, bargain price July 17, 2008

I really like my Sennheiser CX300s. The sounds quality is great and they fit very comfortably. At this price they're also a bargain - most high-street music or electronics shops charge twice as much for these headphones.

I purchased these as a replacement for some great but now broken Koss earphones. I am a pretty heavy user of earphones, over 3 hours a day every day, so I have been through a number of pairs in my lifetime. I found the overall sound with the CX300's to be great. A little lacking in bass sometimes but you can't expect miracles with earbuds. I have had no problems fitting them and they stay in my ears fine. The wires are a nice rubber which stop them sliding around when under a jacket or jumper. I have only had them for a few days so time will tell if they are durable as the Koss which tooka full year of abuse before breaking.
My only annoyance is that you get a little wind noise when walking with quite music. But u can always turn the volume up.

If you're thinking of buying these headphones to use while you're on the move (walking, running) then forget it. The 'sealed ear' effect means every little movement of the cord is magnified a thousand times in your ear, making listening almost unbearable. That and wind noise coupled with poor bass sound makes this a less than ideal choice of purchase. (I have also tried each of the three ear pieces supplied - with no luck)
Very, very disappointed (and still looking for a good set of headphones).

These earphones were my replacement for my original ipod headphones, and now that i have got these, i can't even understand how i survived with the ipod ones...
These fit perfectly in my ear, and whilst with no music playing they pick up the slightest sound like wind blowing the ear-piece or touching the wire, when playing music this is not an issue, and they make music so much easier to listen to..
The noise cancelling is almost perfect considering the price, and compared to the price of these headphones on the apple site (about 35) this is a bargain...

Since receiving these ear phones I have been amazed at the in depth quality of the sound, i have even started to hear instruments in sound tracks that were inaudible when using bog standard earphones! A must buy!
