This is a construction kit, using real clay bricks and tiles laid over a stiff cardboard shell. Matching scale-size foliage is included, so that the finished model sits well within its baseplate. Previous experience is not required - the very fact that you are building a country cottage-style house allows for flexibility in build-finish. However, you must have patience as there are several steps to construction - and it's always best to let the glue dry first.
The completed model takes up 11"x8"x8" (w,d,h) and can be enhanced by items found in most Arts&Crafts shops (I added some 1/10th scale figures, and match sticks make good window frames).
Aimed at the 12+ age-group, younger builders will probably require some help or supervision.
Build-time is measured in days, not hours.
Overall, this is an ideal 'step-up' from plastic construction kits, and a perfect way of adding detail to your model-railway, or war-gaming layout, or just to look good on display.
