Avoid at all (rip-off) costs! November 8, 2008 P. Clough (UK) Our 5 1/2 year-old is sleeping contentedly with this toy under his pillow having finally today saved enough pocket money and tooth fairy money to buy it. We, on the other hand, are crying into our coffee cups and wishing we had persuaded him to spend his hard-saved pennies on a 99p mobile phone from Wilkos which does almost as much and is better made than this tat. Oh, and actually includes its own batteries - yes even at this extortionate price you have to shell out extra for batteries! A complete waste of money which just relies on the PR brand name to sell to small innocents who don't know any better!
Not just another toy phone September 16, 2008 T. Bradshaw (Devon, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I wasn't keen on my four year old son buying this toy as i thought it wouldn't be any good just another toy phone. However my son has spent lots of time encorporating it into his imaginative games with his power ranger toys. He rolls it down his arm to achieve the same sounds as on the television series when they tranform and has really enjoyed having the toy as part of his power ranger operation overdrive collection.
Plastic Tat July 11, 2008 J. Craig (Harrogate) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Could not agree more with the above review. Kids are crazy for anything Power Ranger related and this is just pure and simple exploitation. After an initial 10 minutes of interest this product just sits in the toy box. A real shame as this was a thoughtful birthday gift.
Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! July 6, 2008 S. Stubbs (Rochester, Kent) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
My son has just saved up for 5 weeks to buy this product (not from Amazon)that's a long time for a 5 year old and I have to say that it is one of the most disgusting wastes of money I have ever had the misfortune to see. 13.00 for a piece of plastic that makes very few sounds, I think I counted 8 different sounds in all and they were tinny at best(no better than the keyrings you used to be able to buy in the 80's) no sound clip lasts longer than 3 seconds, I'm sure the transformation sequence in the program lasts a lot longer than that! the paint rubs off easily and the plastic moulding is shoddy at best. All in all I would try and get any child to change their mind when looking to buy this!
