Product Description
The flip n find face game! It takes just one flip to start playing Guess Who? Is your mystery face someone with a big nose, chubby cheeks, red hair, or all three? Ask as many questions as it takes to single out the mystery face. But remember, you want to beat your opponent to the answer! Look carefully at all the faces - just one clever question could eliminate several characters at once. The first to find their opponent's mystery person wins the round. Win five rounds and you win Guess Who? When you get really good, try playing with two characters each. Be the first to guess both your opponent's faces and you win! Suitable for 2 players.

4 out of 5 stars good game but build quality is ropey   December 30, 2008
Abbafan1972 (Birmingham, UK)
I used to love playing this game as a child. One thing I've noticed with a lot of updated versions of classic games, the build quality, or lack of. I agree with what the previous reviews have said. The cards fall out of the holders so easily. The games I had as a child would last for years and I don't see this happening now. The people who make these games (MB or Hasbro) ought to be ashamed of themselves.

It is a good educational game and involves a process or elimination to guess the other persons card.

Dropped one star due to the rubbish quality.

5 out of 5 stars An enduring classic   December 27, 2008

This is one of those games I wanted when I was a child - I still remember those cheesy tv adverts for it - but never actually owned myself.

I bought it for my two children earlier this year, when my little boy was nearly 5 and my daughter 3 and a bit. They both love this game - although my little girl didn't quite "get it" at first (she always wanted to choose to be the same person!), she is now able to play it properly with minimal help (she's 3 years 10 months now) and it's enjoyed equally by both children. The games are just the right sort of length at 10 minutes or so, though they will usually play a few times in a row.

I have had no problems with build-quality - yes you do have to insert all the cards into the flaps to set it up, but once done I've not had any issues with them falling out. And unlike many other games, there's no setting up the game after the first time, so it's ready to play straight out of the box without any adult help!

It's also great for developing your child's recognition and analytical skills, without them realising it's educational value.

Highly recommended for any child aged 3 and a half upwards.

1 out of 5 stars Classic game now let down by shoddy quality   December 26, 2008
Kite Boy (Devon, UK)
Played this to death when I were a lad, so bought this for my daughter this christmas. The manufacturers have however cut every possible corner to reduce the cost of this game - and it shows. The cards fall out of the holders and the holders fall out of the boards all of which conspires to interupt the play of the game. Absoulte rubbish and a waste of money. Going to see if I can find my old version in my mum's loft.

1 out of 5 stars This version is too flimsy.   November 17, 2008

The game itself is brilliant and educational. It really helps with childrens reasoning and deduction skills as well as verbal skills for young children. Most games can be won with the question does he or she have facial hair (ie. moustache or beard) though.

The problem with this version of the game is it is far too flimsy and breaks very easily making it totally unplayable. The thin plastic surrounds holding the cards break and the cards fall out. It is so lightweight and poorly constructed that it is difficult for children too keep the right cards up. One small glance sends everything tumbling. The many clip on card holders are also very difficult to clip in and keep attached.

I have bought this game 3 times due to it falling apart. Enough is enough though and I won't be buying one again unless the quality improves.

Do not buy unless you want a game that breaks after half a dozen outings by carefully supervised children.

1 out of 5 stars Waste of money!   July 9, 2008

I bought this for my son as when I was younger I used to love it. Do not buy this version however, the quality is shocking. The cards will not stay in their frames and you are constantly (and I do mean constantly!)fiddling around with them trying to get them to stay put! And to be honest that is hardly fun is it? Not for myself and certainly not for young children.

Maybe I should sellotape them in?
