Excellent value for money September 21, 2008 T. hawkins (UK) I bought this bike for my son, it was delivered within 2 days, the packaging was very good. The instructions on how to put the bike together come with it, which only took about 1/2 hour. The brakes and the gears work fine without a problem. I think for 70 you will be hard pushed to find a bike with all the features that this one has, my son loves it and we have had no problems with it, so I would not hesitate to buy another if needed.
Cool Running September 12, 2008 Ciaran Mulholland (Essex U.K.) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This Boss Slice bike was ordered late on the 5th and delivered on the 10th.I consider that a speedy transaction. I bought this for my son who is delighted with it.It took me about 1 hour to assemble it and my son took it out for a test run.He cycled up and down pavements and threw in a bit of cross country. He says it is very smooth, very fast and, above all, very cool looking. From my point of view(miser)it is incredibly cheap.Bikes of this spec usually cost over 100. You couldn't beat this offer with a big stick
NOT for regular use!! September 12, 2008 KC (London, England) Received this bike and spent an hour putting it together (with help!), I took it to a bike shop to buy a lock and pump and have them check it's all together properly. After they'd stopped mocking the ludicrously poor build quality (they threw away 5 of these this year when people tried to part exchange) they did say it's OK if you only want to ride it to the shops and back as it was for light use only!! As I only wanted it for short trips a couple of times a month it will do just fine but the front brake disc rubs constantly and the gears are indeed a joke. To be honest you'd be better off buying a good second hand bike for the same money. I believe you get what you pay for so wasn't expecting great things but if you want something to ride every day or even every week, this bike won't last you a year!
Cheap Cycle September 11, 2008 K. Bruce (u/k) Bought the same bike from a local retailer, 60 and it came assembled rode it and its fine. At least this way you can go back right away and get it sorted. Plus I did not fancy putting it together yes I am lazy but thats what you pay for in a shop to get the bike you want assembled and I did and rode off into the sunlight GREAT!!!KB
At 70 nobody can moan August 12, 2008 Neil Collins (Manchester, UK) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Assembled the bike fairly quickly because to be honest there's not that much to do and took it for a ride. Rides fine although the rear brake was catching slightly but all that was needed was a slight adjustment. All in all I don't think you can moan because you'd be hard pushed to find anything cheaper. I'd say this bike is spot on for anyone looking at the 100 and under range. Divided opinions I see on this one but in my view it's worth the asking price.
