cool as it comes June 24, 2008 Charlie Downes (UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
For the size of it, you would not believe just how much air this thing pumps out. Quite amazing. It does run on aaa's, no aa's, which i was a bit annoyed at (My own fault, i didnt read the advert correctly). This really does keep you cool, and with the adjustable postitions, its perfect for sitting next to a computer with etc. I would say this thing is not suitable for kids, as even with the safety blades, it stings a fair amount if you touch them in motion, it really is that powerful. But for the money, I couldnt find better. top quality
The best of the "portable mini" range February 20, 2008 Puddleduck (Helensburgh, Scotland, UK.) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is the second portable fan I've bought. It is very compact with no breakable parts and is very effective. I only ever use mine in the "flat" position to hold up to my face and neck, but it can be positioned on a table so that the fan part is manoeuvred upwards, or worn around the neck. Its fan is far more effectively cooling than the other portable type with the rotary arms, which clip down when not in use, with the added bonus of not being breakable like the "clipaway arms". It is noisier than the clipaway version, but more efficient. Two words of warning: it runs on two AA batteries (included) and these can be found by turning the fan over so the "blades" are face down, and sliding off the entire back of the device. Also, if you are unfortunate to catch long hair in the rotating fan "blades", don't panic if you think your hair is irretrievably tangled and stuck in the fan! You only have to pull out the metal pin attaching the fan blade and it comes out...and your hair with it!
