Super value (and it works) September 10, 2007

I bought this tent direct from Sports HQ. Having never opened it we took it to Italy assuming that it wouldn't rain. When I opened it I thought there had been a mistake. "Where's the second sheet?". Then I check the bag again and find a A4 sized patch of material that goes on top. "Is this a joke?". It had us in stitches for ages. Anyway my last comment was "at least we're testing it out in Italy and not in Scotland". What a mistake. The heavens opened about an hour later and lashed down much harder than it does in Scotland. It was biblical. Anyway, the Turtle (our nickname for it) survived to tell the tale completely intact. Two day later it was even worse with huge hail stones. Once again it passed with flying colours. This tent is very light (hence us being able to carry it in our suitcase) and very easy to put up and take down. It's waterproof and sturdy. It's not perfect. It's too short and I would advise against people above 5ft 10" buying this tent. And you do wake up with condensation when it's hot because it's not very breathable. But for 7 it's unbeatable.

For the price, this is really good. The floor of the tent is stitched to the walls, so all you have to do to set it up is to put the two poles in and put in a couple of pegs, and you're done!
The tent is slightly smaller than other two man tents I've been in, but this one has a porch, perfect for storing your pack and bags, and leaving the maximum room in the tent for sleeping space.
Also comes with handy carry bag. If you're looking for a good two man tent with good price, this is the one to get!
