Product Description Your iPod doesn't have to feel insecure over those stereo boomboxes once you get this nifty addition. Combining a USB/Firewire docking port with a full fledged stereo system with subwoofer, your iPod will be charged, literally, with power that you've never even realise it was possible of. Putting out 6 watts of stereo power, and boasting a 6 watt subwoofer, your iPod will be transformed into a veritable mini component system. Powered by either an AC adaptor(included), or 4xAA batteries (no included), the unit will also accept input from other audio devices like your CD or MP3 players via the built in line-in port. And it's even portable! Grab one now, and make your Ipod feel like the BIG kid on the block!

General review + info re 'snapping off' docking help August 6, 2008 Cheshire Dave (UK) Really pleased with these. It's not like being at Gatecrasher on a big trance night, but they do their job as travel speakers or as a second "hi-fi". Tweaking your iPod's EQ menu helps them sound better - I like the Dance (bassy) and Electronic (trebly but little bass) and Rock settings. I leave the iStation 'surround sound' ON. (Surround sound only if you're the size of a flea, though.) Cost me 50 four years ago (still going strong) and much cheaper if you play around with a few mouse clicks now ! Re some web reviews stating that continually operating the iPod buttons weakens the docking connection - I don't know if it works with the smaller ones, but on the full-size iPod or the new Touch version (I've tried both), you are supposed to take the clear hard plastic speaker cover off, REVERSE it and clip / slide it back on behind the speakers. (As in the instruction leaflet.) This means that the iPod has something to rest against when you press its buttons, taking the strain off the connection. Hope that helps someone. I'll update this if I have any problems over the next few months / years.
Really pleased with this product February 18, 2008 Ms. Katherine Thurston (Bethnal Green, London) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought these speakers to play with my Sony Walkman MP3 NWZA818. Loved these speakers, I think the design is great, very light & portable to take on your travels with you, which is why I bought them. The sound quality was excellent, even when both speakers and Sony Walkman was on full volume the sound was brilliant, was very surprised how loud and good the quality was when being used at full volume. The 3 D surrond sound processor works a treat and definitely improves the sound quality. Really impressive piece of equipment. Included in the pack is a european plug adaptor, every adaptor possible for Ipods and an adapter for a MP3 you can sit the player in between the speakers without damaging the IPOD docking socket. When your using your MP3 player via the 35mm line in port you can sit the player in between the speakers as opposed to lying in down flat but it's not really designed to do this. As when the player is plugged in via the headphones input line you've then got this wire coming out of the bottom of the player which makes it a bit awkard for player to sit in between the two speakers but I managed to find a way that works for me but you may prefer to just have it lying down. Would have been great if they came with case but a medium size jiffy post bag works just as well and provides good protection when travelling with them.
terrible sound and can't last long November 23, 2007 L. HUANG (UK) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
For me, the biggest problem is this product won't last long. I bought my logic3 at PC World. The 1st totally stopped working after about 3 months. I went back to PC World and got an exchange. The 2nd one lasts much longer, but since last week when I used it to play the tracks in my laptop, sometimes it just stopped, no sound came out, and latter on sound came back, but few minutes later, couldn't hear anything again! The sound itself is not crisp, and when I played it very loud, the sound distorted!!!!! One more thing to say, the '3D surround sound' button doesn't make any difference.
Happy First Time! May 31, 2007 CJ (Manchester, UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I got this as a Christmas gift and I was impressed instantly. I wasn't expecting amazing sound out of something so small, i'm not that naive but I got a lot more than I did expect. The player comes with a remote that allows you to select a playlist and skip between tracks. The only unfortunate thing with this remote is that you can't navigate the menu screens with it and have to do this by hand but that's a minor annoyance that I can bear. The only real irritation I have is that the player hums a little when the Ipod is lit up. Set you're ipod to dim quickly though and you shouldn't notice it. There are better players out there if you wish to spend the money but this player really is worth it's price... snap it up, it's great for a small get togeteher!
pc use April 18, 2007 LHK (London) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The i-station has been a great little travel toy and is useful for a bedroom. I've had no problems with it. However, I understand that you can also connect it to the pc and use it as a normal speaker -but I simply cannot get this to work. Which lead is it that you need to plug the i-station in to the pc? Any help appreciated! Thanks
