1 out of 5 stars Very Poor   July 26, 2008
C. Kelley
The Philips SLV3220 is very poor. It suffers from significant interference from other wireless devices. It is ridiculously sensitive to electrical interference when placed close to the TV or the source device. The IR signal transmission also just does not work.

This has nothing to do with the environment as I have purchased a Techisat Wireless TV link which works absolutely fine and is totally insensitive to placement -- it does not look as pretty though....

I would advise avoiding this product.

2 out of 5 stars Good, but flawed at the same time, doesn't work with Sky+   June 19, 2008
D. Wilson (UK, NW.)
Firstly, the issues I had;

It DOES NOT work with my Sky+ remote control. The TV volume can change but the Skybox isn't affected. Pity, but only an inconvenience.

The quality of the TV picture on the main TV was affected with the Phillips box plugged in. This was evident in the Sky menus. I decided to unplug the lead completely when I'm not using the remote sender. Again, this is a big inconvenience.

Overall - it does a very basic job - you can't expect better with such a low-power device. But the Sky+ not working through it isn't good at all.

3 out of 5 stars No Virgin Media support   June 5, 2008
J. Grierson (London)
This product works really well, set up and working in about 20 minutes with great picture quailty. However it doesn't work with the remote control functions of the Virgin Media set-top boxes. This is an added sticker on the box and not stated on the website.

4 out of 5 stars Great if target room above transmitter   May 1, 2008
Thomas F. Treanor (Scotland)
Great value at 30.00 but you need the other room to be directly above the sender. It roughly took 5 minutes to get working with a poor picture and then an addtional 1 hour to get it working well. Finally got best picture with channel 3 (4 channels, switch at rear of device) and switching off my WIFI connection.

1 out of 5 stars Sent mine back   February 18, 2008

I set the box up in my bedroom to receive a picture from our Sky box in the front room. Unfortunately the picture quality was terrible - completely un-watchable. I live in a flat and there is almost a clear line of sight between the two rooms.

To make things worse the sender prevented the main TV from auto adjusting the image size received from the Sky box, meaning some channels were being displayed with a squashed image.
