Good little speakers these. I bought some for my better half for christmas and have been really impressed with them. Sound clarity is excellent even at volume. Volume is controled by simply touching the + or - buttons on the unit itself or on the remote and goes up or down in pretty acceptable blocks, not whisper quiet to deafeningly loud in one tounch like some.
They also charge your iPod while connected to the unit which is a real bonus.
On the downside, the remote control funcions are a little basic. You've got volume, skip forward and back, play and pause. You cannot scroll through the menus with the remote and hence have to use the ipod touchpad to select playlists, artist, album etc.
Also even when the unit is on standby, it still carries on charging your iPod, so if your like me and worried about frying your battery you do have to remove your iPod when you've finished listening, which is a bit of a drag.
For 30 these are very good and ideal for places you want your music but don't want to be shelling out a half a weeks wages on some speakers.
