Don't buy! February 20, 2008 David White 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a great product - except that the high pitched buzzing from the power supply which makes it unusable. I got a replacement and it had the same problem. My advice. Buy something else!
not happy January 18, 2008 stephen (uk) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
this ipod docking station this seemed to be the most resonable, with reference to price and the way it looked. Once i received delivery everything looked & felt as if i had got myself a great bargin! things changed once docking station was set up. I can only discribe the sound as a high pitch buzing noise comming from the output socket/lead. This was very irritating which spoilt the quality sound comming from the speakers.
Good value&good sound - shame about the annoying plug. November 30, 2007 Katty91 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have just recently bought these speakers for myself and i am pleased with the sound, price and quality of them. There is only one thing that bothers me about them, the plug makes a buzzing sound when you switch it on. It doesn't effect the sound when the speakers are playing music, but when they are just on to charge the ipod, the sound is really irritating. I'm not sure if it is a fault with my speakers or if it happens with every single set. It would be interesting to hear if other sets have the same problem.
Sounds good, but power and dock connections are weakest link November 22, 2007 H. Petre (UK) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Sound is great! portability no problem, but I had a problem with the power pack supplied. The power lead has a continental European two-prong plug with a slide-on UK adapter. When I first plugged the unit in, nothing happened. By elimination I worked out that the UK adapter was faulty. I could not be bothered to return the whole unit to Amazon, so I replaced the adapter and the unit's fine now. Note that the cheaper model ( I paid 31.99) does not come with a remote control. Also, the ipod nano needs to put into the dock rather carefully, holding the unit in one hand : if you just try to push it in from above, it's fiddly and can't be done without risking damage to the ipod. That having been said, I'm very happy with this purchase.
Good for price, excellent treble and volume but... October 6, 2007 Mr. D. J. Francis 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I picked this up to replace some creative travelsound 200 speakers which sounded too tinny for my liking. As everyone else has said, the sound is spacious and the treble is very good, female vocals are very distinct. However acoustic bass sounds dreadful, of 43GBs of music I have 5GBs of Jazz and I have real difficulty listening to it on these speakers. That said what can you expect at this price? The best speakers for the price, however if you listen to Jazz I would look eleswhere.
