Not disappointed July 1, 2008 Mr. B. Kiernan (uk) I listen to a wide range of music and am very particular about sound quality. I was, considering the price and size of this unit, expecting to be disappointed. Quite the opposite. Doubt you'd get a better quality anywhere for this price! The subwoofer is exceptional for its size and the unit has plenty of umph! I have also found it handy to pack in a weekend case. The the only slight problem is a transient distortion of treble on full whack. Well worth the money.
NOT COMPATIBLE WITH 3RD GENERATION NANO July 1, 2008 AJ 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I recently purchased these speakers which are fine with my 30gb ipod, but don't work with my 3rd generation video nano - I was very dissapointed to discover they also have damaged my ipod - many of the songs now jump or cut out.
Terrible- look elsewhere June 26, 2008 K. T. Robinson (Hull and proud) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I personally can not understand the raves reviews that these speakers have recieved from other buyers. I only had them for an hour before I bundled them back in the box for a return and refund from Amazon. I found them only to be capable of a distortive and terrible sound. The so called sub woofer speaker on the rear of the unit, clapped and rattled even at low volume. I tried adjusting the bass and treble to obtain better sound, but to no success, I just knew that I wouldnt be able to live with them. I wanted them for a bed side unit, and in the end have bought an Itrip to be able to tune my FM radio to the output of my 80gb Ipod classic. Thats ok ish.... but I think I will be investing in a good pair of active speakers for under the bed instead.
Great buy for a novice June 12, 2008 Mrs. C. Steele (uk) Having read all the reviews I decided to purchase these speakers and not knowing much about the technical side of things I was delighted with my choice. I have to say that the sound is excellent and they look great too!Easy set up and very easy to use,I am delighted and will be telling all my friends!
Pleasantly surprised April 28, 2008 Archie R. Gunn 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought these speakers along with 8G nano and leather case for partners birthday. They will be used for holidays and bedroom. I unpacked them and tried them out in the living room whilst she was at work and was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality and volume. Even at full volume they did not distort. Got some bass distortion on some dance tracks but ipod eq is set on bass boost. Remote control can increase or decrease Bass,Treble,Volume etc and also let you browse music without touching ipod. To sum up they are not Bose, Klipsch or Griffin which you would buy for the living room ,but for the price and compact size and what we intend to use them for they are quite simply amazing. I can now wrap them with complete confidence. Delighted.
