Product Description
The X-Minimax is a stereo system with two speakers and a built-in subwoofer. Powered by two rechargeable lithium batteries, this system is connected at the bottom by two magnetic bases to form a capsule for easy storage. Very rarely a product comes along that actually meets my rather exacting standards. This is one of them.
My requirements for this product were: Light, compact and with good enough sound to enjoy watching a film on my laptop; in a hotel room.
It succeeds where others have failed.
That said this won't make a regular addition to my travel kit, however this is more to do with my travel ethos than the product. I will continue to use headphones when I travel alone. But when the missus comes with me, these will to.
If like me you are a regular business traveller who hates kit clutter and goes ultra-light. You might want to look into a Mogo mouse.

I bought a set of Minimax Speakers last week as a travel accessory for my iPOD. I get tired of earphones after a while and my wife and I may like to listen to music of our own choice when away. I've had them only for a short time, so I can't vouch for their durability. However with regards to sound, build quality, weight and size I have found them an excellent well-priced accessory for my purposes. I receive well over 5 hours music before re-charging. A few days after purchase, I bought another set as a Christmas present for my daughter. Given the time I've had them, I would nevertheless recommend them for the purposes that I require. D.G O'S

Great speakers.
I read a few reviews about these and was very sceptical as I have had a few mini speakers before that just werent loud enough.
All I can say is wow, with a decent MP3 player, these speakers can get very loud and really clear, obviously no where near as good as normal speakers but great on the move. Used it Highgate woods and actually had someone ask me to turn it down who was at the other side of the park.
I always love peoples reactions when I first use it in front of them, as they are never prepared to the sound that is produced from these beauties.
