Wilsonite propaganda October 5, 2006 Mr. M. Thompson (UK) 5 out of 23 found this review helpful
This book is badly written and hateful peice of AA propaganda. Bill Wilson is convinced that alcoholics are incapable of having any motivation to life better lives and must live exactly according to dictates or else they will die. His dictates include wallowing in guilt about almost every possible human activity (Bill even wants to feel guilty about working hard all our lifes and then retiring), a liftime accumulating a sense of personal impotency and a child-like obidience and dependcy on AA. Wilson accuses all alcoholics of being selfish and manipulative also anyone who doesn't believe in God as being 'beligerant'. This really a work of fantasy on the part of Wilson, who clearly wants to appear a all-knowing, omnipotent guru type. It is also a very depressing assessment of human nature, it was written in Wilson 11 year long bought of depression , and it shows!
