This BlueNext dongle uses a CSR chipset which on paper makes it a good candidate for use on Linux. Amazon lists it as appropriate for use with the Acer Aspire One netbook though if you have the Linpus linux version as I have then it will take a little technical jiggery pokery to upgrade linpus adequately including adding the Bluez update from the official Acer support site and with help from some detailed instructions by linker3000 on the aspireone dot com user forums (root access and heavy use of the Terminal required).If you feel confident and patient enough to do the technical legwork (10-15 mins work max)then this USB dongle will work very well indeed.Mini CD supplied is for Windows only.

It was detected automatically by Windows XP and paired well with my mouse and mobile phone, but this was not why I bought it. I had the same "features" with a bigger bluetooth dongle. I bought this dongle because it promises to be small in such a way that could become part of my laptop. Well, it is not so. The dark plastic part is small, but the metalic USB connector is longer than in other USB devices, resulting that part of it stays outside the USB port. Besides, the device came apart the first time I took it off the USB port. I had to use some super-glue to fix it. So, if you are interested in a mini bluetooth dongle, I would try the other option (the one that appears a semi-circle).

I bought this item so that I could have MP3 ringtones on my phone. It works straight out of the packet with no need to install anything. I used it on Windows Vista and it just found whatever it needed to run and was available for use in about 10 seconds. I found the phone very quickly and easily and downloads quickly too.

Ever since my wife has discoved how easy, quick and fun it is to trasfer music from PC to her phone over Bluetooth, she is not at all bothered to connect a UBS cable (even if its lying next to her:).
She wanted a BT dongle and I ordered this tiny powerhouse for her and she is quite happy.
The reason I decided to buy this product is because of its small size, resonable price and brand (BlueNEXT). I also have a BT GPS receiver from BlueNEXT which works like a magic and so is this BT dongle. I thinks BlueNEXT use CSR bluetooth chip which is very good.
Good Points:
- Very small, you will be surprised when you see it.
- Easy to use. Install the supplied software, stick the dongle into any of the available USB port and you are ready to go.
- Good signal range.
- A2DP music streming is very good as well.
Bad points;
- Nothing that I have noticed yet.
