very reliable October 15, 2007 Flipper 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've had this printer for over 6 months for business use. It's been very reliable and copes with printing up to 80 sheets a day on a regular basis. It does seem to get through ink rather quickly hence 4 stars rather than 5. Other than that I'm happy with the quality, ease of use and reliability and think it's a good product for the price.
Avoid at all costs October 11, 2007 Herb (Londinium) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
My family has been struggling with this travesty for year now. But its just been marked for termination. How HP ever got away with distibuting this excuse for a MFD, I don't know. Paper has to be fed one sheet at a time, the software is unstable and the device is beset with errors. It also runs a test print every time its turned on, wasting ink. Take my advice and give this useless lump of plastic a wide berth - trust me, I'm an IT project manager.
Didn't last more than 6 months August 27, 2007 F. Callow (Leicester UK) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Out of the box, this was a very promising printer. Scanned well, printouts were clear. However, this is the second HP printer I've had that after sitting doing nothing for a couple of months, hasn't worked on my return. The scanner stopped working (light comes on, moves across the scan bed, comes out black every time) and every time I turn the printer on it wastes a piece of paper printing a configuration page which it then can't scan. If you need a printer for occasional home use, HP printers don't seem to like it. Try a different brand!
Expensive June 19, 2007 Dave (Hebden Bridge, UK) 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
The printer's cheap enough but you'll pay through the nose for evermore for replacement ink cartridges. They're very expensive and run out in no time. Find the printer with the cheapest cartridges - even if it's more expensive to buy, it will probably work out cheaper.
Nice and easy June 7, 2007 Emily Matthews (Bristol) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Straightforward, easy to use and hassle free. Great for students or those who simply want to print from time to time, scan documents etc. It takes a while to get going, but after 6 months with mine I haven't had any problems and would say it is well worth the money.
