HP vs a nightmare .which one do you prefer September 3, 2008 Gabriela Avram 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is not a printer but a nightmare. Simply it would not print. I have to literately switch of my laptop in order to start printing. It would not print just by switching on and of the printer itself , rather I have to switch of my laptop. All my mates have the same problem as me... so this is not one sporadic faulty printer, all the hp F380 are the same. My advice ...if you don t want your life shortened don t buy it !
You'll never need more! June 22, 2008 Silvio (Hampshire, UK)
We have owned this printer for over a year and so far are unable to fault it. Setup was simplicity itself, and the ability to make copies without switching the computer on has come in useful many times. Scanned images are faithfully and quickly reproduced and photos print rapidly and are of an acceptably high standard. Have not had to replace ink cartridges in more than a year of ownership, although admittedly we don't print on a daily or sometimes even weekly basis. The only downside I can list is sometimes text is not 100% sharp when you look closely, although I think we are using Tesco Value paper, so maybe this is the cause.
Utterly useless February 6, 2008 P. Murgatroyd (Scotland) 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
By far the worst printer and manufacturer in the world. The Problem - If you remove the USB cable by accident (can happen with laptops) THE PRINTER IS UNREPAIRABLE!! Attempted Solution - Firstly is switched off the printer and back on, no luck. Secondly I switched off the laptop AND the printer, still no luck. Then I deinstalled and reinstalled the printer software, yip no joy. As per manual I performed a 'reset' of printer, nope no luck. HP's Response - I contacted HP on the number as advised on the website. I WAITED 3 HOURS to be connected!! Eventually it took another 45mins for some Einstein to conclude that the printer had suffered a software and hardware malfunction and needs replacing. The best bit - After emailing my purchase receipt over 3 weeks ago i still have had absolutely no response from HP, thanks! Future - Never EVER buy HP unless you enjoy smoking rolled up bank notes cos its just as productive. Hope my tale serves as a warning for all HP Deskjet owners!
zero stars January 8, 2008 S. HADAVI (United Kingdom) 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
What a truly awful printer. We have 3 printers this is by far the worst. It prints one item then goes off line and you are left with a backlog as long as your arm. The HP help is total rubbish. If you are a student with deadlines do not buy this as your course may have finished and you are still sitting there waiting, waiting, waiting...................................................................
Fantastic all-in-one! November 30, 2007 Angie Baybee (Glasgow. Scotland) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This printer/scanner/copier is fantastic. It prints at a high quality and is really easy to use. I was dubious about the copier function before I brought it but produces copies far exceeding the normal quality of photocopies. It's great on ink as well and replacement cartridges are available from lots of high street stores, Although perhaps a bit pricy. I use combatible cartridges from cartridge monkey which work just as well. They're cheaper and have a larger ink capacity then the originals. Great Printer!
