Come on Palm - you can do better than this. This case is absolutely pants. I used it for a few days then bought a really good leather case frpm PDair.

1 out of 5 stars A FRAGILE case....   October 4, 2005

As stated below, the latching mechanism on this case is its Achilles heel. In all other respects it is excellent. It looks great and is robustly built BUT the closing catch is simply a plactic 'lip' - once it is broken you have no way to close the case (unless you fancy sticky tape! Totally uncool in a business meeting!) I do not even know when I dropped mine - I simply took the case out of my jacket pocket and it flipped open - on trying to close it I realised it was no longer possible. I suggest you spend your hard earned money on a case which will last - mine is now landfill - very 'pretty' landfill - but still landfill!!.

The latching mechanise on the case is very flimsy and broke the first time I dropped my handbag.

This case is an extreme waste of money.

1 out of 5 stars Palm case a big dropout   January 30, 2005

This case does not do the job I want it to do: be as compact as possible and protect my Palm T3 if I drop it. The case is much thicker than it meeds to be and the Palm keeps falling out of it in normal use - especially when switching it ON or OFF. In fact it is worse than useless.

1 out of 5 stars Very disappointing   December 30, 2004

It's awful.

It's too big. I used to own a Palm Vx and the official Palm case, so I know that it's possible to make a case that's not absurdly large. This thing makes the Tungsten E about a centimetre wider, and twice as thick.

It's too heavy. It makes the palm weigh about half as much again. Given that the main strength of the palm is how handy it is, this pretty much defeats the object of owning the palm.

It rattles. This case is so big that the palm doesn't even fit snugly in it. The thing rattles as you walk.

It's badly designed. The case blocks access to the usb port, the power port, the headphone jack, the IR port and the power button. Hence, it is difficult to charge and sync, difficult to switch on, and you can forget about using it as an mp3 player in your pocket.

My view of this case is that it's not of any use to anyone. The silly leather flap that the Palm comes with is ten times more useful.
